Healthcare And Artificial Intelligence

Leave a message

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with healthcare is considered to be in its very early stages. Its applications are primarily concentrated in drug development, including using AI to accelerate the process of new drug development and repurposing known drugs for diseases for which previously lacked effective treatments by screening existing drug databases, with initial breakthroughs already achieved. Another potential direction is the integration of healthcare with mobile technology to develop telemedicine.

However, the potential of AI in the medical field still needs to be fully recognized by the market. Due to stringent industry regulations and the need for concrete success stories (such as the market launch of AI-developed drugs) to demonstrate its feasibility, true breakthroughs are still some time away. Overall, it may take another three to five years for AI to have a substantial impact on healthcare.
